Due to the new regulations in regards to childrens jewelry enacted by the CPSIA Act, all manufacturers of children's jewelry including Kennebug Boutique have to make some changes to the materials used in youth jewelry. Any of the items made for children aged 12 and under will have to be made with Freshwater pearls (instead of swarovski pearls), sterling silver (which we already used so that is unchanged), and semi precious gemstones (no swarovski crystals) such as JABLONEX glass crystals which are from the Czech Republic and are completely lead-free. If the item is for a child over 12 and you would like the original beads used, let us know in the notes section of the item ordered. We hope to have each item in our inventory with an option to let us know if the child is 13 or older. We are so sorry for this inconvenice and have only your childs best interests in mind in complying with these regulations set forth. This does not affect any of the adult jewelry where we will still be using swarovski crystals unless asked specified otherwise.
