Poem: DESIRES OF THE HEART
Oh Lord I tried it my way,
Telling you what to do.
Thinking I knew better,
Living apart from You.
Seeing all I'd been through,
You knew I had enough.
My child there is a better way.
This way is not so rough.
Delight yourself in me,
Desires of your heart I give,
If you would just commit to me,
The life that you do live.
Rest in my arms so gently.
Trade your plans for mine.
I have such great things for you.
Just leave your past behind.
My power begins to work,
For when you delight in me.
The desires of your heart,
You will soon begin to see.
