You were our last but not last in our hearts. You were destined to be ours. You had the patience of a saint because even in birth order you always had to wait your turn. We took our time with you though because we knew every stage in childhood would speed by and not last. So everything you did made us laugh and we reacted as if it was the very first time we ever experienced it.

I know you didn't mind if we held on to you tighter. You brought us joy and increased our sense of humor. You made us feel younger and more alive, even if we seemed worn out sometimes. You didn't have as many pictures and things written in your baby book, but the memories of your childhood and growing up are already etched permanently on our hearts. 

We are still growing and you are, too. Still whenever we look at you no matter where life takes you, you will always be our baby. Nothing will ever change that. Always remember how much we love you
